Nourishment Platttter – Metttte
It’s Spring here in Australia and I want to share with you how to prepare a grazing platter that’s bursting with colour and energy. I choose green! Nourishment is one of Mette is Baking’s brand words, and what’s more nourishing than a healthy grazing platter? Opposite you will find a shopping list of what you need to recreate the platter in the photo. All the items are purchased at a local supermarket, so easy to get hold of.
Most of the items on the board is just a matter of putting them on the board, but I have included 2 components that need preparing. Grapes with Cream cheese and a chive cream cheese log.
How to make Grapes with Cream cheese:
Wash the grapes and cut them in half. Remove seeds if are is any. Use a butter knife to put a dollop of cream cheese between two half grapes, give them a gentle squeeze. It’s delicious and decorative.
How to make a cream cheese log:
Shape the cream cheese into a log using cling film. Chop the chives finely. I keep the chives in a bunch with the elastic still attached and cut with scissors from the tips of the chives. Cut them finely into a bowl. Spread the chives out on baking paper. Roll the cream cheese log in the chives and make sure they stick together. You can wrap the log in baking paper or cling wrap and keep in the fridge until serving.
Tip from Mette! I put a sheet of baking paper on all my platters and boards. It gives a great look and it’s so much easier to clean up.
Good luck! I would love to see your creations, so jump on Instagram @metteisbaking and share your photo’s and please tag me so I can see your creations.
